Training Fees

Before any fees are due or the kit is purchased, children are welcome to try a session in their chosen program for free to decide whether they want to keep coming. Please complete the form below if you wish to register for a free training session to see if our training is right for you.

Training fees are payable monthly in advance and the first payment is due when you submit your enrolment form and will then be taken monthly on the same day that the enrolment form was submitted, i.e., if you submitted the enrolment form on 5 May then the next payment will be taken on the 5 June and so on. With payments on a monthly basis – players can opt in, opt out or take a break at any time during the year for a month or more. Please note there is minimum non-refundable fee of $15 if you request a refund of a cancelled subscription to cover transaction and admin costs. GST is inclusive of all fees and payment processing fees will now be borne by subscribers from 1 January 2025.

In addition to training fees the Training Kit must also be purchased for each player from South Hobart FC Uniform Shop located in the Clubrooms at Wellesley Park.

MONTHLY TRAINING FEE

Our prices have increased slightly for 2025 due to increasing costs of providing our quality training. We understand that in some circumstances, parents with shared care may also share the cost of their children’s activities. If you are sharing cost of training and wish for each parent to arrange payment of your share of the cost separately, please send your request to via email to Victoria Morton.

We have moved to a new payment processor provider to help reduce transaction fees. From 1 January 2025, MSS will be passing on transaction fees* to clients. These fees have always been part of the payment process, but MSS has previously absorbed them on your behalf. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to continue covering these costs. The transaction fees will be clearly displayed at the point of payment, ensuring full transparency.

Training Kit (all programs)

The training kit for all programs includes quality long lasting Nike shirt, shorts and socks and costs $95. The training kit is available for purchase from the South Hobart FC Uniform Shop located at Wellesley Park.

For Junior Academy, if you choose to play for South Hobart FC then this kit also doubles as your match day gear.

Youth Academy (ages 13 to 18)

All fees are GST inclusive.

NEW Fee for 1 session per week is $118 per month. Please note that this option is for Youth Girls community players only and training for this group will be on Thursdays.

Fee for 2 sessions per week is $141 per month

Fee for 3 sessions per week is $171 per month (please note that the third session per week may or may not be a mid-week match.)

Please note that ‘team’ training for South Hobart FC is included in the number of sessions. Please refer to the training time information on the Training Programs page.

Junior Academy (ages 7 to 12)

All fees are GST inclusive.

Fee for 1 session per week is $118 per month

Fee for 2-3 sessions per week is $171 per month

Training is offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4:15pm to 5:45pm. We do not charge for a third weekly training session as our view is the more players train, the better they will be. This is why the cost is the same regardless of whether a player trains twice or three times per week.

Girls can choose to train in a ‘girls only’ group which is available on Tuesdays, noting that if there are not enough girls to form such a group they will need to mix in with the boys.

Junior academy Mini Mortons (Ages 4 to 6)

All fees are GST inclusive.

Fee for 1 session per week is $90 per month.

Training is on Wednesdays from 4:00pm to 5:00pm.

Specialised Goal Keeper Training (Ages 8 to 18)

Fees for this training are incorporated within the number of training sessions you enrol for in either the Junior or Youth Academy.
